Dororo

Lord Daigo Kagemitsu performed a cruel act by selling his newborn son’s body parts to 48 demons in exchange for power. What remained of the child was cast down a river, and Lord Daigo soon forgot about his son as he established his powerful kingdom. Unbeknownst to him, the child survived and possessed advanced spiritual senses that allowed him to navigate the world despite lacking eyes, ears, limbs, or even a voice.
Fortunately, a brilliant doctor came across the son and raised him as his own. He named the child Hyakkimaru and outfitted him with advanced prosthetics that allowed him to move and fight. However, tragedy struck when Hyakkimaru discovered that he was a magnet for demons, leading them to the doctor’s home. Despite his love for Hyakkimaru, the doctor had no choice but to send him out into the world.
As Hyakkimaru traveled, he discovered that killing demons allowed him to regain his missing body parts. Driven by the desire to make himself whole again, he embarked on a mission to slay as many demons as possible. Along the way, he met Dororo, a self-proclaimed master thief who initially joined Hyakkimaru against his will, hoping to one day obtain his sword. Together, they journeyed through a dangerous countryside overrun with demons and vicious men who proved to be even worse.
